Stetson was part of a large seizure case in Placitas and had obviously not been given much attention. He arrived as a stallion and has since been gelded. Since his arrival, the gorgeous grulla-colored gelding has been learning to become more comfortable with human interaction.
This petite fellow has become easier to catch, halter and lead, but he still gets nervous and spooky. He’s learning how to calmly pick up his feet. We have started with round pen training and once Stetson progresses with his groundwork, our trainers will assess him under saddle.
