Trained under saddle.
Handsome Sosa came to us as an owner surrender. The former owners began saddle training him but couldn’t devote enough time to complete his training. Since his time with us, we have found that he learns new skills very quickly and has a calm personality.
Under saddle, Sosa transitions through all three gaits well (walk/trot/canter) and stops on a dime. He also backs well and is learning how to better yield to the leg. He can be a bit flinchy, but this is primarily due to his lack of experiences. More time under saddle will certainly build his confidence.
Sosa does well with groundwork and duress skills and picks up his feet well. He is a wonderful prospect for many disciplines.
