Found wandering with her filly, Sienna, west of Albuquerque, Sahara has proven to be a proud and protective mare. Our trainers have worked extensively with her to gain her trust and she can now be caught and led.
As she grows more confident, Sahara’s sweet and curious nature has become more obvious. She is learning ground skills quickly and is steadily becoming calmer. She will be eligible for adoption once she has completed her ground skills training, which includes round pen work, standing for farrier, and trailer loading.
