A lover of attention and food, Ryder was found as a stallion with a full set of shoes wandering alone south of Albuquerque. Though he’s now gelded, he never displayed typical stud-like tendencies. Rather, he’s an affectionate fellow who loves ear scratches.
Since arriving in September, we’ve worked with Ryder to polish his ground skills. He’s proven to be a willing and fast learner. Our trainers have assessed him under saddle at a walk and trot so far and he did well. They’ve started to teach him to yield with leg pressure and side passing. We’ll continue his training until Ryder get adopted by a very lucky person!
