Cautious Petra was found pregnant and wandering with an abandoned herd on an Albuquerque mesa. After her arrival, she gave birth to a gorgeous and spirited filly named PJ.
Petra was quick to learn to trust her handlers and now catches and leads well. She needs extensive corrective farrier work on a misshapen hoof, and we will proceed with her ground training once she is moving better. She will be eligible for adoption once she has completed her ground skills training, which includes round pen work, standing for farrier, and trailer loading.
