Shiny Penny and her young filly, Piper, were found wandering with an abandoned herd on an Albuquerque mesa. When she first arrived, Penny was very nervous around humans, and still shows some hesitation when approached to be haltered. As she learns to trust, she has made quick progress in her ground training.
Penny will be eligible for adoption once she has completed her ground skills training, which includes round pen work, standing for farrier, and trailer loading.
