Friendly Freya arrived directly from the New Mexico Livestock Board after being found on her own. She’s a healthy and gorgeous “in your pocket” mare who loves attention and is easy to catch. She’s quickly learning it’s not ok to stand toe-to-toe with handlers and sometimes needs a reminder about boundaries.
An athletic, intelligent mare, Freya really wants to do well. She’s not shy about expressing frustration if her handler asks for too much, too quickly. She’s improving with calmly standing tied, especially in busy situations, and is learning to accept spray bottles. She loads well, picks up her feet, and has a sturdy confirmation for most disciplines.
Freya needs a strong handler who can build her confidence. We’ll begin saddle training with her soon. Freya truly is a clean slate who can be taken any direction!
