It’s hard to imagine Chico abandoned near Dexter, NM to fend for himself as a colt. He is a happy-go-lucky guy that craves human interaction; he’s always ready for hugs and cuddles from his handlers!
Chico is the first to greet you in the paddock to be haltered. He's attentive to his handler and rarely spooks. He is confident in ground skills training, including round pen work, standing for farrier, loading into a trailer, moving through in-hand obstacles, and basic duress. He has stolen the hearts of many of our volunteers, and he is more than ready to steal your heart, too! He has tremendous potential for the right person willing to take him to the next level.
