This handsome gentleman was seized by the NM Livestock Board due to serious neglect. The Livestock Board inspector told us his racing name is Not Tricky, and he was primarily used to pony race horses after they raced.
Captain halters and leads well and is familiar with most groundwork games, but he could improve his driving and circling a bit.
Under saddle, he turns on the fore and hind, side passes, and goes into all gaits. Captain is certainly more “whoa” than “go; he’s lazy and needs constant encouragement! Some exercise and consistency would do him wonders.
