This petite and spunky mare came to us as a court seizure case along with Franklin. They both were emaciated and days away from death. But in the short time they’ve been with us, they’ve both packed on the pounds and have been given a clean bill of health.
Aretha is learning to trust humans and is still skittish. She is in the beginning stages of halter training, but is making good progress. She will be eligible for adoption once she has completed her ground skills training, including standing for farrier and trailer loading. Because of her tiny stature, Aretha is a non-rideable companion.
