Everyone at Walkin N Circles, Board of Directors, General Manager, and all of our dedicated WNCR Ranch Hands would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in - and commitment to - becoming a Walkin N Circles Ranch Hand! Ranch Hands are always needed and appreciated.

You are joining an elite group! Our Hug-a-Horse Thrift Store and Walkin N Circles Ranch Hands are one of - if not the most - giving and dedicated group of volunteers to be found anywhere in the world. It is not an overstatement to say, that we could not operate a successful horse rescue operation without the unselfish contributions of time and labor from our great group of ranch hands, who truly are the driving force behind our rescue efforts. As you progress as a Walkin N Circles Ranch Hand, you will have the opportunity to learn every aspect of horse rescue, from cleanup, health care, feeding, rehabilitation and retraining, to finding new loving homes for our rescued, abandoned, abused and unwanted horses.

From Team Leaders to team members, almost all the labor, training, planning and office work at Walkin in Circles Ranch is performed by volunteer ranch hands. Presently, the Executive Director is the only paid employee at the Ranch. From time to time individual service providers such as professional trainers and farriers are engaged and paid for their work on the Ranch. The Caretaker lives on site and feeds when feed team members are not present, completes needed repairs to the facility, provides twenty-four hour security, and monitors the horses at night. Everyone else at the Ranch (including members of the Board of Directors) is a volunteer Ranch Hand, just like you.

It cannot be overstated that we appreciate your commitment to becoming a ranch hand and being involved in our rescue effort. In this light, we will endeavor to make this the most enlightening, and rewarding horse experience that you may have. Again, welcome. We encourage you to share ideas and recommendations, and/or concerns, which you feel might improve the efficiency of the ranch or the care and rehabilitation of our horses.

The first step is to contact our office and sign up to attend a new Ranch Hand orientation session.  Generally these are held the last Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m  unless there is a conflict with a major holiday or other ranch activity.

Please pre-register for our monthly orientation by completing the appropriate form(s) below.  You may scan and email them to charlynhudson@yahoo.com or fax to 505-286-9731.
