 |
| Dusty:Arabian/Quarter Horse Mare. 7 Years Old. |
| What a wonderful horse! Dusty is not only beautiful, she also has wonderful ground manners. Lots of good
training under her saddle, she is looking for an intermediate rider who will appreciate her youthful enthusiasm. Dusty likes to keep you
company while cleaning her paddock, just in case treats are being dispensed. |
 |
| Maggie:Registered Quarter Horse Mare. 17 Years Old. |
| A former hunter/jumper, Maggie is no longer able to jump. She is looking for a good home where her athletic prowess
will be limited to more gentle persuit such as trail rides.
|
 |
| Molly:Mustang Mare. Bay. |
| Molly came to us wild and with a foal. Her experiences with humans prior to her arrival at WNCR were not good.
Our trainers are working with her and she is overcoming her fears and learning to trust. If you're looking for a 'project'
horse, Molly could be the one for you. |
 |
| Nugget:Registered Leopard Appaloosa Gelding. 8 Years Old |
| Nugget was trained "hard" and is therefore afraid of people. He is so worth saving! So far,
he is taking well to all the kindness that our volunteers are shedding on him! Progress
is slow, but seems very certain. |
 |
| Seeker:Quarter Horse Gelding. 20 Years Old. Sorrel. |
| Seeker has no known medical problems but is arthritic. He is good for light trail riding
for short distances and would be a good beginner horse for children. Seeker leads and halters easily and
loves to be groomed. No adult riders. |
 |
| Valentine:Appaloosa Mare. 29+ Years Old. |
| Valentine lived with her companion Camille in the same paddock for the last seventeen years.
Their owner passed away tragically last spring and his family asked WNCR to take them and help
find new homes. Valentine has developed a swayback over the years and would not be suitable for
riding. She has no known health problems. She has a sweet temperament and does well with people
and younger horses. Camille has found a new home - now it's Valentine's turn to be matched with
a family who will love her as much as she will love them.

 |
| Goose:Morgan/Arabian Gelding. 12 Years Old |
| Goose’s owner was no longer able to keep him. He is very gentle and easy horse. He has excellent training and moves very well with an experienced rider.
|
 |
| Red Cloud:Quarter Horse Gelding. 19 Years Old. |
| Raised by a family with children that no longer needed him, Red Cloud found his way into
the hands of someone who brought him to WNCR. Red Cloud will be a wonderful trail horse but needs
a tender, experienced hand to get over some issues.
|
 |
| Blackberry:Thoroughbred Gelding. 32 Years Old. |
| What a great name for a great horse, not a spot of white on him! Blackberry is a sweet old fellow who would make a great companion horse. He
arrived underweight but his new diet of soaked alfalfa pellets and senior feed is helping him put on the pounds.
|
 |
| Jezebel:Registered Morgan. 17 Years Old. Bay. |
| Jezebel, a proven brood mare, seems to like people more than she likes other horses. Used for
lessons and trail riding at WNCR, she would be a great match for an intermediate rider. |
